Several problems today (drop-outs, etc.)

I just finished a three hour livestream.

Feedback from me:

  • For the start I can’t see my live video at LFG.TV. The screen stayed black. I restart the live-streaming two further times… than the picture arrived at LFG.

  • There where several new guests in the chat, but the display for previous views (top) and the display for current viewers (bottom) remain the same the whole time... I don't think that's correct today. It would be a hell of a coincidence if there were the same number of exits and new views in the background all the time... 😉

  • After send a new message in the Chat it took several seconds until the Text arrived in the chat. (Never seen that before.)

Feedback from the viewers:

  • There were some drop-outs today. The stream was not stable!

Regards

Norbert

    Hello,

We believe this may be an internet connection issue. We are not seeing this as a widespread issue. Please let us know if this is a re-occurring issue.

It is very much possible that there were only 3 Total Viewers and 3 guests in chat.

We apologize there was a delay from the time you pressed send and when your message appeared. We are not aware of this being a widespread issue.

Perhaps I have fundamentally misunderstood the figures so far. Please explain again precisely...

What does the number shown above indicate? The total number of viewers? So... all viewers who accessed the livestreams (regardless of how long they stayed there), right? What does the system do when a viewer opens a stream, leaves it, and then rejoins the first stream after a while? Does double counting occur in this case?

And what does the lower number indicate? You used the word “chat” above... I really don't understand that. What it can't be is the number of users who have written at least one post in the chat since the stream started. Then this number could only increase... but that's not the case. This number changes in both directions (up and down).

      regards

      Norbert
