Unable to Stream

I recently setup my profile (djfirstladyeforce), have set up my OBS with the ingest server and my stream key. When I start to stream, I do not connect to my stream.

I could not connect either, but seems I needed to run auo-configure wizard (in OBS) again. After that I could stream

Please reference this Users suggestion to help resolve your issue.

Double-check your stream key – make sure it’s copied exactly from your profile.

    1. Confirm the ingest server – sometimes switching to a different server closer to your location helps.

    2. Test your internet connection – a stable upload speed is key for streaming.

    3. Restart OBS – sometimes a quick restart fixes connection issues.

    4. Check firewall/antivirus settings – make sure OBS is allowed to connect to the internet.

If you still can’t connect, try re-generating your stream key in your profile and updating it in OBS.

Hey! If your OBS isn’t connecting to your stream, here are a few steps you can try:

    1. Double-check your stream key – make sure it’s copied exactly from your profile.

    2. Confirm the ingest server – sometimes switching to a different server closer to your location helps.

    3. Test your internet connection – a stable upload speed is key for streaming.

    4. Restart OBS – sometimes a quick restart fixes connection issues.

    5. Check firewall/antivirus settings – make sure OBS is allowed to connect to the internet.

If you still can’t connect, try re-generating your stream key in your profile and updating it in OBS.

Next steps is to show your log files:

    1. Open the OBS Log Folder:

    • In OBS, go to Help → Log Files → Show Log Files.

    2. Find the Most Recent Log:

    • The logs are named by date and time. Pick the one from when they tried streaming.

    3. Upload or Share:

    • You can open the log in a text editor and copy/paste the relevant part into chat, or

    • Use a file-sharing service (like pastebin.com or gist.github.com) and share the link.

Tip: Look for lines that mention “Connection Failed” or “Handshake”, as these usually point to why OBS couldn’t connect.
